STEP 1
Open your chrome browser, and go to this link to download the chrome extension from cloudHQ. Download chrome extension, Mobile Text Alerts for Gmail by cloudHQ.

STEP 2
Confirm and hit, “Add extension” button.

STEP 3
Once you click on the above button, you’ll get a confirmation popup, as seen below. Close the popup and proceed to click on the button “Create Account”

If you don’t see a popup asking to “Create Account”, look for a icon found in your top right browser that has the SMS icon, as shown below.

STEP 4
Select your designated email that will connect with cloudHQ to receive text messages.

STEP 5
Make sure to hit “Allow” to agree for cloudHQ to access your email and to send you text alerts.

STEP 6
Now click on the SMS icon. Add your mobile number to get text alerts from emails you’ll tag/identify later in steps below. When done, hit the button “Send me confirmation SMS”

STEP 7
Grab your confirmation code from your text message. Add it in the popup and hit “Confirm”

STEP 8
Add a new rule to identify specific emails you’d like to get text alerts for. Hit the button, “Add New Rule”

STEP 9 (Final Step)
Add an email or list of emails to be tagged and received text alerts for. You can create more advance filters by adding a subject keyword in addition to the identified emails. When done hit, “Save Rule”.

You’re rule will be saved and confirmed by the follow screen showing the rules enabled.
